What does it mean to be human? That is a challenging question and one I'm not sure I can ever answer. It's so much easier to look at a character and say, this is what she believes...
But with so much AI and ChatGPT etc, I think it's an important question to consider. And for me there are as many answers as there are people divided into all the ways each person/character is human re: desire, aversion, pains, joys, quirks and shortcomings... and the list goes on

I don't know what makes us human... the desire to be loved or the desire to be heard? In our culture, maybe the desire to be seen and heard is the strongest and most heartbreaking expression of humanness.
For me... I don't want to be acknowledged; I want my stories to be heard (but since I'm the subtext of all my stores... ). I will continue to think about this.

Sounds like the willingness to be vulnerable. That's very human.
