It does. We cannot know how it will matter and/or to whom it will matter in the future, but our ability to write is a gift, and if we can make something that means something, we must do it. I know that it matters to be able to see people like themselves on stage, in other media, so it matters that we write. Every time I put something honest up, people thank me. People say they had no idea. It expands the world.
